About Us

Hi there! I’m Sebastian, the creator of Petusiast.

What is Petusiast? It’s an information hub for pet-owners, those who wish to become pet-owners, and everyone else who loves animals.

Growing up, I’ve always had a pet: I’ve shared my space and my heart with guinea pigs, dogs, cats, frogs, snakes, ferrets, hamsters, budgies, and more. The years spent taking care of them and loving them have taught me just how beautiful a relationship with your pet can be – if you take care of them right.

Yet, it seems to be that quality pet-care is hard to come by. Even among those who love their pets, some might inadvertently neglect them – not out of malice, but due to the lack of information. Especially when it comes to less conventional pets, an idea seems to be prevalent that caring for them is easy – after all, most animals can fend for themselves in the wild. So as long as you feed them and have a vet check up on them every once in a while, everything will be fine.

However, this is wrong. Over the years I’ve witnessed an astonishing deficit in pet-care in many places, even from people who I know love their pets.

I believe there’s one main factor contributing to such a state of affairs: a lack of information.

Even today, when technological advancement has made information more accessible than ever, there seems to be a difficulty finding trustworthy sources on pet care. Especially when it comes to rare, more exotic pets.

This is where Petusiast comes in!

The main goal of Petusiast is to create a community of animal-lovers who want to not only learn but share their knowledge about pet care. Be it conventional pets like dogs and cats, or the more rare unconventional ones like snakes and spiders – I want Petusiast to become a hub of trustworthy information for anyone who needs information about pets.

I believe in my heart of hearts that the absolute majority of people who take in a new pet want to give them a beautiful forever home where they will live a long, healthy, and happy life. But there’s a notion – a wrong one – that pets’ are easy to take care of. It’s not wholly wrong – some of them are easy to take care of. If you know the correct way to do it.

And that’s where the root of failure for many people lies: nowadays information they have access to is plentiful, but not all of it is factual and true.

Petusiast aims to change that!

This platform was created to rip the root of the problem out: to ensure every pet gets the care they deserve and every owner gets the information they need to ensure their pets – no matter how rare – get that care.

Together we can build a community that will challenge the obvious pet-care deficit that is so prevalent nowadays by bending together and spreading the quality information needed by so many pet owners who do not know where to get it.
